The Most Comfortable Cleaning You’ve Had — Private Room, Netflix, Pillow and Blanket

Every patient at our North Dallas office is seen in their own beautiful, private operatory — no open bays, no sitting next to other patients. Multiple TVs in every room mean you choose what you watch from the moment you sit down. A pillow and blanket are available if you want to fully settle in. A warm towel ends every appointment.

This combination — your own private space, real entertainment, genuine comfort — transforms what most patients expect from a dental cleaning. Patients who come in tense and avoiding dental care for years leave telling us it was the most relaxed they’ve ever felt in a dental chair. That’s not an accident. It’s how we designed the experience.

Dental Anxiety? We’ve Got You

Dental anxiety is one of the most common reasons patients put off cleanings for years — and one of the things we take most seriously at our North Dallas office. If you’re nervous, tell us when you book.

We go at your pace entirely. We explain every step before doing it. Nothing in the treatment room is rushed. Netflix is on throughout. And if you need additional support, nitrous oxide — laughing gas — is available to take the edge off during your cleaning. Inhaled through a small, comfortable mask, nitrous creates a feeling of calm and relaxation within minutes. It clears completely within minutes of removing the mask, so you can drive home and carry on with your day.

For patients who haven’t been to the dentist in years — whether from anxiety, a bad previous experience, or just life getting in the way — we see this situation regularly and approach it with zero judgment. Tell us what you’re worried about, and we’ll build the appointment around making it manageable.

Free Whitening for Life — Included With Your Cleanings

Staying current on your cleanings at our North Dallas office comes with something most dental patients have never heard of: professional teeth whitening for life, free.

Keep your twice-yearly appointments and whitening is always available at no additional cost — custom-fabricated take-home trays made for your exact teeth, professional-strength whitening gel, and refills whenever you need them. Touch up before an event, refresh after a period of more coffee or wine, or maintain a consistently bright baseline year-round.

It’s the most compelling reason to stay current with your cleanings at our North Dallas office — and the most valuable perk of any dental practice in the area.

What’s Included at Your Cleaning Appointment

Professional cleaning. Your hygienist removes plaque and tartar buildup from every tooth surface — the calcified deposits that no amount of home brushing or flossing can address once they’ve formed. Polish follows to remove surface staining and leave teeth smooth. Expert flossing clears the contact points between teeth where bacteria accumulate.

Comprehensive exam. Your dentist performs a full clinical evaluation — assessing each tooth for decay, existing restorations, bite issues, and developing concerns. Digital X-rays at clinically appropriate intervals capture what isn’t visible to the naked eye. Oral cancer screening is included at every comprehensive exam — a quick, painless visual assessment that takes minutes and catches one of the most treatable cancers significantly better when found early.

Gum health assessment. Your hygienist measures the depth of the pockets around each tooth — the clinical measure of gum health. Healthy pockets are shallow. Deepening pockets indicate developing gum disease — the leading cause of tooth loss in adults and directly linked to systemic health conditions. Catching it early at a routine cleaning means treatment is simple. Left undetected, it requires deep dental cleaning and ongoing periodontal maintenance.

Insurance review. Before you leave, our team reviews your dental benefits — what today’s visit used, what remains in your annual maximum, and whether your deductible is met. If you have treatment due before December 31st, we flag it so you can schedule before benefits reset. Most patients have never had a dental office do this proactively. We do it after every appointment.

Regular Cleaning vs. Deep Cleaning

Routine cleaning (prophylaxis) — recommended every six months for patients with healthy gums. Removes plaque and tartar above the gumline. Covered by most PPO dental insurance plans at 80–100% with little or no out-of-pocket.

Deep dental cleaning (scaling and root planing) — for patients with active gum disease. Goes below the gumline to remove bacterial deposits from root surfaces and smooth roots to discourage reattachment. Typically requires two appointments — one side of the mouth per visit. Covered by most PPO plans at the basic or major restorative tier after the deductible. The American Dental Association explains why catching gum disease early matters significantly — routine cleanings every six months are your best defense.

If a deep cleaning is needed, your hygienist and dentist explain exactly why before any recommendation is made. You see your own X-rays and periodontal measurements on screen and understand the clinical picture before deciding how to proceed.

Insurance — We Maximize Your Benefits Every Visit

We accept 18+ PPO dental insurance plans at our North Dallas location. Routine cleanings and exams are covered at 80–100% by most PPO plans — meaning most patients pay little to nothing for their twice-yearly visits.

Our team verifies your specific benefits before your appointment and reviews what was used and what remains at checkout. If you have remaining annual maximum before December 31st, we flag it so you can schedule any needed treatment before benefits reset.

For patients without dental insurance, our Healthy Smiles Discount Plan at $89/year provides discounted rates on cleanings and all other services — $49/year for each additional family member. Cherry and CareCredit financing are available for larger restorative treatment costs. Visit our insurance page for the full carrier list.

At-Home Care Between Cleanings

Professional cleanings every six months address what home care can’t — but what you do between visits determines how quickly plaque and tartar reform and how much work each appointment involves.

Brushing. Two minutes, twice a day. An electric toothbrush removes significantly more plaque around the gumline than any manual brush — it’s the single most impactful upgrade to your home routine.

Flossing. Once a day. No toothbrush reaches between teeth — the bacteria that accumulate in contact points drive both interproximal cavities and gum disease. Floss picks and water flossers are effective alternatives if string floss isn’t working for you.

Toothpaste. Fluoride toothpaste is the clinical standard. For patients interested in alternatives, hydroxyapatite toothpaste is a well-researched remineralizing option worth discussing at your next visit.

Important Things to Know Before Your Cosmetic Consultation

Oral health comes first. Active decay or gum disease is addressed before any cosmetic work begins. Our team identifies anything that needs to be resolved first during your consultation.

Whitening only works on natural enamel. Existing crowns, veneers, and composite fillings don’t respond to whitening products. If you have visible restorations on front teeth and want to whiten, color coordination needs to be part of your plan.

Porcelain veneers are a permanent commitment. Because enamel is removed during preparation, porcelain veneers are irreversible. We walk you through the proposed result before any irreversible work begins — no surprises.

Cosmetic dentistry is generally not covered by insurance. Most plans classify cosmetic procedures as elective. We’re transparent about costs before treatment begins. Cherry and CareCredit financing are available, as are in-house payment plans. Our Healthy Smiles Discount Plan provides discounted rates on cosmetic services — $89/year per primary member, $49/year per additional family member.

Dental Cleaning FAQs

How much does a dental cleaning cost in North Dallas?

Routine preventive cleanings are covered at 80–100% by most PPO dental insurance plans — most patients pay little to nothing. Deep cleanings for gum disease cost more and are covered at the basic or major restorative tier depending on the plan. We verify your benefits before your appointment so you know your exact out-of-pocket before arriving. No insurance? Our Healthy Smiles Discount Plan keeps cleanings affordable at $89/year.

Every six months for most patients. If you have active gum disease or a history of periodontal problems, we may recommend three to four times a year to keep it controlled.

A regular cleaning removes plaque and tartar above the gumline. A deep cleaning goes below the gumline to treat active gum disease — it’s a different clinical procedure done under local anesthetic, typically across two appointments. Our team explains exactly which is needed and why before any recommendation is made.
