There are a lot of orthodontic options in the Sachse and Wylie area. Here’s what makes our office different.
Traditional orthodontic consultations involved trays filled with thick putty pressed into your mouth and held there while you tried not to gag. We don’t do that. Our Sachse office uses a state-of-the-art 3D intraoral scanner that maps your teeth digitally in minutes — precise, comfortable, and completely mess-free. The digital scan feeds directly into your Invisalign treatment plan and lets us show you a simulation of your projected smile before you commit to a single tray.
If you’ve avoided orthodontic consultations in the past because of impressions, that barrier is gone.
We use digital X-rays at our Sachse office rather than traditional film X-rays. Digital imaging requires significantly less radiation than conventional dental X-rays — up to 90% less — while producing clearer, more detailed images that your orthodontist can review instantly on screen. For families bringing kids in alongside adults, that lower radiation exposure matters.
Most families in Sachse aren’t coming in alone — they’re bringing the whole crew. While you’re in your Invisalign consultation or adjustment appointment, your kids can hang out in our dedicated kids’ playroom with video games and their favorite cartoons. No restless kids pacing the waiting room, no rushing through appointments. Parents tell us this alone is a game-changer for actually keeping up with their own dental care.
Invisalign treatment doesn’t happen in isolation. You’ll need regular dental cleanings throughout treatment to keep teeth healthy, and any dental concerns that arise need to be addressed without interrupting your progress. Because we offer full general dentistry alongside orthodontics at our Sachse office, your entire family’s care is coordinated in one place — one team, one location, one less thing to manage.
Invisalign uses a series of custom-made clear plastic aligners — changed every one to two weeks — to gradually shift your teeth into proper alignment. You remove them to eat, drink anything other than water, brush, and floss. Otherwise, they stay in 20–22 hours per day.
For the right patient, Invisalign delivers results comparable to traditional braces with significantly more convenience and discretion. Our Sachse orthodontic team will give you a straight answer at your consultation about whether Invisalign is the best approach for your specific teeth — including when traditional braces would give you a better outcome.
Invisalign works well for:
Invisalign may not be the best fit if:
Not sure which side of that line you’re on? That’s exactly what the free consultation is for. Our team will evaluate your teeth and give you a clear, honest recommendation.
Sachse has a strong youth athletic and school community — from Wylie ISD sports to extracurriculars where appearance and confidence matter. Invisalign Teen was designed specifically for teenage patients who want effective orthodontic treatment without the visibility of metal brackets.
A few things that make Invisalign Teen different from the standard adult system:
Built-in compliance indicators are small blue dots on the aligner that fade with wear — giving parents and our team a way to gauge whether the aligners are being worn consistently without having to ask. Replacement aligners are included for lost or damaged trays, which is a practical reality for active teenagers. The system also accounts for teeth that may still be erupting during treatment.
For teens who are motivated and responsible, Invisalign Teen delivers excellent results. For teens who are less likely to wear aligners consistently, metal braces or ceramic braces are often the more reliable path — and our team will be honest about which is the better recommendation for your child specifically.
Adults make up a growing share of our Invisalign patients, and it’s easy to understand why. Life in Sachse is busy — between work, family, and everything in between, the last thing most adults want is the visibility or dietary restrictions of traditional braces. Invisalign fits into adult life in a way that fixed appliances simply don’t.
You eat normally. You brush and floss normally. In professional settings, the aligners are virtually invisible — most people won’t notice you’re in treatment at all. And because our Sachse office offers early morning and flexible scheduling, fitting appointments around a full schedule is manageable.
Many of our adult Invisalign patients are also interested in cosmetic dentistry — teeth whitening, veneers, or bonding — to complete their smile transformation after alignment. All new Thrive patients receive complimentary custom whitening trays, making this a natural and affordable next step after treatment.
Your first visit is a no-obligation conversation. Our orthodontic team will take a look at your teeth and bite, discuss your goals, and walk you through whether Invisalign is the right fit. If it is, we’ll explain the timeline, cost, and what treatment involves before you make any decisions. No pressure, no commitment required.
Once you decide to move forward, our 3D intraoral scanner creates a precise digital model of your teeth — no impressions. From this scan, your custom aligners are fabricated and your complete treatment plan is mapped out digitally. You’ll see a simulation of where your teeth will be at the end of treatment before your first tray arrives.
When your aligners are ready, you’ll come in to receive your first set. Your orthodontic team will show you how to insert and remove them, how to care for them, and what to expect as you begin. Some patients need small tooth-colored attachments — dots of composite resin bonded to specific teeth to help the aligner grip and apply force in precise directions. Not everyone needs them, but they’re common in more complex cases.
You’ll swap to a new set of aligners every one to two weeks at home and come in for check-ins approximately every six to eight weeks. These visits are quick — typically 20–30 minutes — and let our team confirm your teeth are tracking properly and make any adjustments needed.
When you reach your final aligner, your teeth may need minor refinements — additional trays to fine-tune the result. After that, retainers are essential. Teeth have a strong natural tendency to shift back, and retainer wear — typically nightly on an ongoing basis — is what protects your result long-term. We include retainers in your treatment and walk you through the wear schedule before you finish.
Our Sachse office is at 7900 Woodbridge Pkwy, on the corner of Highway 78 and Woodbridge Parkway — directly across from Walmart. If you’re coming from Wylie, Murphy, Garland, or the surrounding communities, we’re easy to reach with plenty of parking.
We serve patients from throughout the area, including Cedar Creek, Brookview Estates, Davis Estates, and Parkwood Ranch.
Invisalign cost at our Sachse office depends on the complexity of your case and the length of treatment. Simpler cases cost less than complex ones because they require fewer aligners and fewer appointments.
Many dental insurance plans with orthodontic coverage will apply your orthodontic benefit to Invisalign treatment — the same benefit that would apply to braces. Our team verifies your insurance before your consultation so you know exactly what’s covered before making any decisions.
For patients without orthodontic insurance, we offer flexible in-house payment plans that spread costs over the treatment period. Our dental discount plan also provides meaningful savings for uninsured patients. Visit our insurance page for more details, or ask our front desk team when you call — they’re excellent at walking patients through their options clearly.
Yes. Relapse — teeth shifting back after previous orthodontic treatment — is very common, especially if retainer wear stopped. Many of our adult Invisalign patients are correcting shifting that happened years after teenage braces. As long as your teeth and gums are healthy, retreatment is very doable. Our team will assess your current alignment and bone health at your consultation
Most patients experience mild pressure for a day or two when switching to a new set of aligners — this is normal and means the aligners are working. It’s significantly more comfortable than the adjustment period after traditional braces. Acetaminophen helps if needed. There are no brackets or wires to irritate the soft tissue inside your cheeks.
Rinse them with lukewarm water every time you remove them. Clean them daily with a soft toothbrush and a small amount of clear dish soap — not toothpaste, which is abrasive and can scratch the plastic. Never soak them in hot water or mouthwash with artificial coloring. Invisalign cleaning crystals are also available and work well.
