Dr. Nathan Coughlin

Dr. Nathan is from a small town in Alberta, Canada, where it snows almost half of the year, and the remaining months are taken over by mosquitoes.

But he would never trade in the gift of growing up with lifelong friends in a close community of genuine, good people…

From childhood, Dr. Nathan was a gifted scholar, a talented athlete, and a strong leader. He was MVP and captain of the Men’s Basketball Team at the University of Alberta and Grant MacEwan College and was named Two-time Academic All-Canadian, one of the highest awards a university athlete can receive.

After graduating with honors, he attended the University of Southern California School of Dentistry, where he met his wife, Christine. There, he continued to achieve academic success and scored in the top four percent in the nation on the Dental Board Exam, making him a top candidate for Orthodontic Speciality.

While at USC, Dr. Nathan served in third-world countries like Honduras, where he and his dental team provided dental care to underprivileged communities. He also co-founded the Student Professionalism and Ethics Club at USC, where students are provided a platform to discuss ways to improve the ethics and professionalism in Dentistry.

… his joy and enthusiasm are contagious to his team and patients alike…

Dr. Nathan graduated from USC Dental School with honors and was presented the Outstanding Orthodontic Achievement Award and the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Award for outstanding academic achievement. He then married Christine, the love of his life.

Dr. Nathan then continued at USC to pursue his dream of becoming an Orthodontic Specialist. There, he also obtained his Master in Science by researching the latest Orthodontic innovations. His Orthodontic program chose Dr. Nathan to represent USC Orthodontics and travel to Japan and Brazil to connect with and share ideas with his international peers.

After finishing his Orthodontic studies, Dr. Nathan continued rigorous training to become a Diplomate of Orthodontics, an honor obtained by only a few select Orthodontists in the country. During his free time, Dr. Nathan enjoys learning and discovering new interests, having great conversations over a delicious meal, and never missing an opportunity to visit his dear family and hometown friends in Canada.

Dr.Navarro

Hi! I’m Dr. Flor Navarro, born and raised in Dallas, TX. My passion for dentistry began in high school when I attended a dental assistant class and fell in love with the profession. I graduated with my dental assistant license and began working at a young age. I earned a Bachelor’s in Biology with a minor in Business from The University of Texas at Dallas and continued my education at Texas A&M College of Dentistry, where I obtained a Doctorate of Dental Surgery.

I pursued this career because of the unique combination of science, art and the opportunity to educate and improve patients’ health and confidence. I remain committed to lifelong learning by attending continuing education courses to stay up-to-date on the latest techniques in dentistry.

Outside the clinic, I enjoy taking long walks with my Goldendoodles, Mando, and Korra. You’ll catch me watching movies, trying out new restaurants, or planning my next vacation destination during my free time. I am thrilled to be part of the Thrive family and cannot wait to meet you!

Dr. Estefany Montelongo

¡Hola! I am Dr. Estefany and very excited to be a part of the Thrive Dental & Orthodontics family. I was born in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, but moved to Texas when I was three years old.

I attended Texas Woman’s University and graduated from their Honors College with a bachelor’s degree in biology and chemistry minor

Immediately after, I began my dental journey at Texas A&M College of Dentistry, where I received my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. I’m the first college graduate and doctor in my family, which makes me feel even more proud of my achievements.

As a dentist, I’m passionate about caring for my patients and educating them on the importance of oral health. I believe that prevention is key, and I’ll work with my patients to develop a personalized plan that meets their unique needs. I want to ensure that every patient leaves my office feeling happy, informed, and confident about their dental health.

MY PASSIONS

I am a major fan of live concerts; I love nothing more than feeling the energy of the crowd and getting lost in the music! I also love hosting at our lovely home in Rowlett where my husband and I also share a passion for cooking and creating new dishes. Lastly, I always say yes to a night out with close friends to try new activities or restaurants.

WHAT MAKES ME HAPPY

Writing in my Five-Minute Journal each day. I am forced to write down what I can do to
