Hi, I’m Dr. Mike Leem! I was born in South Korea but spent most of my life in Dallas. I’m very excited to be your dentist at Thrive Dental & Orthodontics!
I earned my Bachelor’s in Biology from The University of Texas at Dallas. I continued my education at UT Health San Antonio School of Dentistry, where I received my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.
I’ve always wanted to pursue a career where I can help people. When I was in college, I had the opportunity to go on a dental mission trip and saw how dentists provided instant gratification for patients who came with dental pain. It was incredibly fulfilling to see the role that a dentist can play in improving the lives of an entire community. That’s when my dental journey began.
As a dentist, I am passionate about educating my patients on the importance of maintaining good oral health. Also, I strive to take compassionate care of all my patients like they are my family. I enjoy connecting with my patients, listening to their needs, and helping them recover to their best oral health.
Outside of dentistry, I enjoy spending time with my wife and our dog, Bomi, trying out new restaurants, traveling, and watching basketball.
